The deadline to apply for the Better Business Bureau® Foundation of Northwest Florida’s sixth annual Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics, Customer Service Excellence Award and Student Ethics Scholarship is just two weeks away.
Your BBB spends a great deal of time investigating and warning businesses, charities and consumers about scams, fraud and unethical behavior. The annual Torch Award program allows BBB to celebrate those who epitomize ethical behavior.
The Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics recognizes businesses and charities that insist on exceptionally high standards of behavior in dealing with customers, vendors and employees. BBB Accreditation is not required to enter, however, applicants must be physically located within BBB|Northwest Florida’s 14-county
service area.The Customer Service Excellence Award recognizes individual employees who go above and beyond in their customer service activities. This is an excellent opportunity for employers to recognize outstanding employees and for customers to nominate individuals who demonstrate fantastic customer service.
The Student Ethics Scholarship recognizes a total of nine high school students who receive a $1,000 scholarship for their commitment to ethical behavior and personal integrity. High school juniors and seniors within BBB|Northwest Florida’s service area may apply for the scholarship.
The application deadline for all three awards is March 18, 2011. Award recipients will be recognized at a series of luncheons to be held in May.
